Rescuing a deal

I have been nurturing a lucrative potential deal for months now, and have very nearly torpedoed it just at the point where it could have been closed out. We'll see whether I can rescue it.

The vendor is owner of an Edwardian freehold terraced property in a once-prosperous but now very quiet old dockland village near Bristol. Two floors are already sold on long leases, but she has closed the (held by her freehold, still, of course) ground floor shop, because of poor trading. ...

Partnering with a property sourcer

I had a phone call out of the blue from a property sourcer working from Bristol.

He had seen my posts on SP, realised I operated in the West Country, and wanted to know if I could work with him to help market a property in a village near where I live (mid-Somerset).

Yes, gladly, is my response.

Since then, we have gotten to know each quite well, and have struck up a good sound working relationship. He is a good solid ethical operator, finding his way...

Well - juggling with a number of potential deals, to see what I can make of them....

This site seems highly daunting :apple:, and full of experienced investors at the leading edge of the cut and thrust of the property investment business :tomcat:

I am none of those things, so have enough confidence to contribute from a non-competitive viewpoint :surfing:

What am I instead? - A fledgling property sourcer :fishing1:, down in deepest greenest Somerset :rain:

So, I aim to give a worm's eye view of how things look from here :shades:
