Inherited a Property – Grief or Goldmine?

Posted 01-04-2009 at 09:32 AM by C_P

There is so much to sort out when we lose a loved one. Sometimes it helps to take your mind off things and at other times you just want to remember, take time to be with your family and reminisce. There will be some belongings to go through; I recommend filling only a small box with special keepsakes that you want to keep and sending all other items that are suitable to a local charity shop.

If you have inherited a property from a loved one you could be sitting on a goldmine! If...

February Continued .... Short But Sweet!

Posted 31-03-2009 at 06:04 PM by C_P

February may have only had 28 days but one can fit a lot in!

I spoke to one of my excellent Estate Agent contacts and booked out two afternoons with Vicky the valuer to view some interesting properties. I made a list of all properties they had had on the market for over 6 months and found out the sellers who may be open to offers.

Based on this list I viewed about 20 properties in two afternoons and then made offers on them all. Initially a few were rejected which...

Keeping up the Blog - January 2008

Posted 13-02-2009 at 04:34 PM by C_P

So I have nearly brought my blog up to date, let's just recap on what I got up to in January.

The first week back after the Christmas break was a touch hard, the cogs didnt really want to turn and I was certainly longing to be back on the slopes in Switzerland!

However, onwards and upwards, and I soon got going! I attended the Birmingham PNC event, which was a great goal setting talk which really helped me refocus and get back on track. It fuelled me with the confidence...

Personal Acheivements - Bits and Blogs 2008!

Posted 11-02-2009 at 12:35 PM by C_P

As we are all aware networking and meeting other investors is a great way to share ideas, form partnerships and make friends.

One of the things I decided as soon as I was full time in property was that attending as many events as I could would be imperative to my success.

With my links to Deep, Hanif, Khalid and Manan by attending the Birmingham Property Networking Club, I am able to spend some more valuable time with them whilst meeting other investors and listening...

A Quick Catch Up Autumn / Winter 2008

Posted 11-02-2009 at 12:23 PM by C_P

Due to "the poor forgotten blog" I need to update you all on what I got up over the Autumn of last year.

It was in that time that we made the decision for me to leave my job. As the market changed rapidly, as our confidence and knowledge grew we felt now was by far the best time to dive head first into our property business.

With business and personal goals in place, a strategy and plan was decided for us to move forward.

By using marketing...

May / June 2008 Blog Entry 1

Posted 03-07-2008 at 02:19 PM by C_P

In April 2008 Jay went to the Ask the Experts Session in Birmingham, a hugely valuable day from two perspecives. Firstly, the wealth of information in these changing times and also from a networking point of view.

Jay met a contact who was based in Manchester and arranged to meet up the following week to discuss property. He has now become part of our property network and a source of BMV leads.

We learned a lesson from this experience alone; Jay wondered why someone...

Beginning the Blog

Posted 18-06-2008 at 08:51 PM by C_P

We have decided to use this Blog as a diary of our progress in Property.

Having been slightly scared about the word "blog", I thought I would face my fear immediately and "Begin the Blog".

Having recently started working with my partner Jay on our, existing but small, Property business it's a really exciting time for both of us. I feel like a sponge ready to soak in the information on this site and from the Mastermind Alliance.
