Default Ask The Experts, With a Twist....

As you know we usually hold a monthly 'Ask The Experts'....

The monthly ‘Ask The Experts’ calls are a valuable opportunity for members to get your questions answered by established property experts during a live teleconference.

To participate on a consulting call of this nature would normally cost at least £100, however as a special bonus for Property Tycoons Community members we have arranged for the Ask The Experts session to be included as part of your existing membership.

This One Is a Bit Different...

Due to the fact that many of the experts and forum members are going to be enjoying the Tycoon Adventures trip to Monte Carlo, on other holidays and rather than cancel the special bonus for you then this months 'Ask The Experts' will be a little more creative...

The subject of this months 'Ask The Experts' is "Portfolio Ressurecting Property Management Secrets"

As many of the Experts and attendees own and manage large portfolio's of properties including numerous owners of letting agents; then this is your opportunity to get ANY Property Management/Tenant Issue questions answered....

Here Is The Interesting Bit...

We will take all your questions and answer them poolside of the hotel in Monte Carlo and film the experts and answers for you.

We will then upload the video for you which will reveal the secrets to Property Management efficiency!

If you want to get a shout out then please post your question below with anything relating to 'Property or Tenant Management'

Who wants to start.....

Great stuff. Looking forward to recording this in Monaco! A number of the forum members coming with us own letting agents so I'll post the first question on behalf of other Tycoons here who may be thinking of starting a property management business - what's the easiest step by step process for someone new to property to start a letting agency and get it making £1k per month net profit?

Building on this,

How many of the letting agents are shop or home based
Home based
how do they promote their business:-
do they use rightmore
do they have their own web site
do they use paper advertisement which can be costly

Shop base - taking on board the shop is an advertisement in itself, how do they promote their business:-
do they use rightmore
do they have their own web site
do they use paper advertisement which can be costly

what would you advise on starting up the letting business, start up in a shop premises or home based and why?

Steve

Good topic. Some more for letting agents:

What kind if research do you do before targeting an area for your letting agency ?Or in other words how do you know it is the right area which'll give you enough business?

What factors contribute to decision of choosing a physical site for the letting agency? What things should you look for?

Thanks

How many staff do you need to run a small letting agency (say 50 properties) and what key positions do you need, eg sales staff, office admin, IT? Can one person do all this or are you looking at building a team in order to manage 50 properties?

Regards

Rob West

Is it worth becoming a member of ARLA? What qualifications do many letting agents hold pertaining to the business?

Regard
Chelle
