A number of the forum members coming with us own letting agents so I'll post the first question on behalf of other Tycoons here who may be thinking of starting a property management business - what's the easiest step by step process for someone new to property to start a letting agency and get it making £1k per month net profit?

What kind if research do you do before targeting an area for your letting agency ?Or in other words how do you know it is the right area which'll give you enough business?

What factors contribute to decision of choosing a physical site for the letting agency? What things should you look for?

How many staff do you need to run a small letting agency (say 50 properties) and what key positions do you need, eg sales staff, office admin, IT? Can one person do all this or are you looking at building a team in order to manage 50 properties?
