Raj you will have probs getting a BTL mortgage on your own PPR.

You would have to get a residential mortgage, best to speak to a broker about this, there are a number of them on this site.

Default Mortgages

The other option I have considered is to do a residential mortgage and then when i have purchased the new property is to tell current residential mortgage co that i am going to let the property out? Any one done this and which company would you advice and had any issues about telling company that you are going to let property out?
