| | Has anyone put UW broadband/broadcall into a multilet? The UtilityWarehouse package includes evenings & weekend landline calls only because I had one utility too few at this particular property. I have blocked mobile & premium numbers. I hope the young professional tenants will not ‘accidentally’ make expensive calls at other times.
I’ve told tenants that they or their guests will be billed if there are charges outside the monthly all-in cost. What does anyone else do about calls that come with broadband? Any suggestions? | | Connect With Facebook to

| | That's a good idea Sapphire I had never thought of getting UW into any of my rental properties & then including broadband & calls in the rent. You could always take a sim only mobile at £10/month to get the free calls 24/7.
As far as multilet how would you know who had made the calls? do you have seperate lines in each room? | |

| | Hi Sapphire. Do you think it is safe to offer broadband to tenants when they could be up to potentially very dodgy activities on the broadband that is in your name?
Of all the extras landlords can offer to entice tenants, broadband is one I would never offer no matter what.
Maybe me just being paranoid, anyone else have similar feelings towards broadband?

| | I haven't even provided a telephone handset & won't be encouraging them to use the line for making calls.I won't know who is making the calls. I will be installing something called Phoneguard on Ebay which blocks all outbound calls except for 20 numbers or prefix's that you programme in. So I'll put in the area codes included in the UW deal & trust they stick to the broadband. I will be trialling it in 2 properties shortly both with young professionals & will see how it goes. | |

| | There is always that risk. I do think most people use broadband for emailing, downloading music & stuff like that. Have to see how it goes. | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
