Default leaflet deliveries

Hi all, i have someone willing to deliver leaflets directly for me in a built up area. (not with the local newspaper or with other leaflets). Im trying to get my mind round what to pay for this. Ive heard figures of £30 per thousand, which i think sounds too cheap. Would be grateful for some guidance on this, if anyone has some figures on what numbers can be delivered per day?. The target area would be a mix of terraced houses and modern semi's.

Thanks.

Andy.

I pay £25 per 1,000. For terraces & semis in a built up area that works out at above minimum wage.

Plus I give a bonus if I complete on a deal from any leaflet delivered.

Hi Andy (roogy1).

We pay £30 per thousand plus £250 bonus for each deal completed as a result of a dropper's leaflet. The bonus helps ensure the dropper actually delivers the leaflets.

Make sure you brief the droppers to target the types of houses/estates you want - usually terraced houses and semi's.

For loads more tips you can buy a marketing manual such as Deep's (click the Tycoon Store tab at top of forum) or Greg "Rialto" Jackson's manual which focuses almost completely upon leafletting. Registered users of our website (www.LeadIntroducer.co.uk) are entitled to the main Marketing chapter of Greg's manual for free (just email a request to Greg using the email address on our website).

Leafletting is almost certainly the best way to accurately target motivated sellers.

There are two ways you can successfully present yourself:-

(1) as a big successful business. In which case make sure you have a website too (reference it on your leaflet) and provide at least a local landline number (get one for free from sipgate.co.uk and divert the number to your mobile/home) and an 0800 number if you want to look profesional (don't provide only an 0800 number - because it's expensive to call from most mobile phones).

(2) as an individual looking for one house for themselves (many investors succeed with this approach). In which case simply provide a mobile phone number and no website address.

Best wishes.

Thanks Alano for the tip about sipgate. Been looking for a cost effective way to get a different number to put on leaflets and the website. Free!! Thanks

In terms of leaflets, I am paying £20 a thousand and £2.5 per call generated and £50 for a deal done. Hope that helps!

Also, the leaflet-ter delivers about 4-500 in a 5 hour stretch.

Regards

Hi Kilmoth,

Years ago I worked for a company who generated leads by using door canvass teams. A good part of their pay was from just getting an initial enquiry whether it being a waste of time or not. A lot of the canvassers got friends and family as blag leads to up their wages. They worded them up what to say to make it look genuine so they got paid.
Do you think you`d have the same problem paying `per call generated`?

I pay £20-£25 per 1000 plus a £200 bonus if I get a deal and my guy delivers 1000-1200 per day(terraces, door on pavement/short paths) and I was looking to increase the pay to £30 per 1,000. If your guys are only delivering upto 500 in 5hrs that`s only £2 per hr!
Do you have a high turnover of staff and do you know the leaflets are actually being delivered?

Neil

Hi Neil,

At the moment, I have a young person on holiday doing it who wanted a bit of pocket money. All the calls that have come through from his leaflet-ing have been genuine. I am in the process of hiring other people for the coming week. I cannot at the moment answer about turnover but I imagine it is not an occupation that pays very well, unless one works exceptionally hard and also it must depend on the density of houses in the area.

Regards

Just thought i'd share my experience

I also pay £30 per 1000, but also have a £250 incentive for any deal as a result of the leafleting as an incentive.

Like alano mentionned I kinda have both approaches going at the moment.

leaflet and website as a local but professional company, and I also have some other offline marketing which is a lot more one man band orientated.

So far i'm finding the enquiries through the leaflets are a lot more motivated, while responses to other marketing are a bit more of curiosity. but the costs are a lot less - its a numbers game after all.

running with both approaches at the moment, and we will see how it goes.

I also target certain estates and areas that i would like to buy in, rather than blanket deliver across the town or city. I think this increases the chances of getting deals that stack up, and yield well - i dont know what other peoples approaches are.
