Default Chasing A Debt?

---- Not Tenant Related-----

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of how to chase a debt from a company?

We have paid a deposit to a company to provide website and seo services for a new business venture. The total amount was approx £330 but no work has been forthcoming and after sending regular correspondance asking for updates and just getting no response or excuses and dates of promised work that have been and gone, we now realise that the work is never going to be done and we want to chase the debt...

1- to get the money back

but

2 - because of the principle of it all, and we dont want them to just walk away and continue to do it thinking they wont be chased for the money.

The company is UK based and is a one man band from what were aware.

Can anyone recommend any options on how to chase a debt with a company/individual of this level (ie: £330 owed)?

Any help would be great

Rob

(n.b. - this company that we are trying to chase is not in anyway involved in the property game as far as were aware)

Default Recover of debt

Hi

Sadly there are too many people out in the world who believe they can offer a service and not deliver. You’re right to chase this debt. In my eyes there is no difference between this company / individual and Phil Martin. Hopefully you will stop this individual before they go to the level of debt as Phil Martin.

To ensure I mention the correct Phil Martin. quote in his own words "About Phil Martin, Mortgage Rescue Network and Rapid Property Group
Phil and Wendy Martin are blessed with 5 daughters aged 3 - 14 & enjoy being full-time parents" see following link for further information - http://www.mypropertypowerteam.co.uk...reditcheck.asp

Follow link for Phil Martin: Rapid Property Buyers Ltd. ceases trading..

Hope you find this useful

You may want to report this comapny to your local trading standards office and even the police. Send the letter to the Trading standards office and Police and cc them in.

State you believe they are running a scam. They are offering a service, taking the money and then cutting off all contact.
