| | Foreigners buying UK property - how easy? I was just wondering how easy it is for non UK people who wish to buy in the UK but permanently live abroad (ie just buy as an investment)?
I'm assuming a UK bank account will be required for mortgage payments and with a sizeable %age deposit in to keep the mortgage companies happy.
Again, I'm assuming they will have to pay several % above base rate as they are sub-prime?
Has anyone done any deals like this and what else is required?
Thanks

| | HI Adam I think you have answered your own questions here. I've sold to overseas investors and they normally only get 80% LTV and have to have a UK bank account and yes the % is normally a little higher but that was about 4 years ago and I don't know if things have changed.
Have a good Monday!

| | Adam,
There are a few members here who have circumstances similar to yours. Send me a PM or call me later in the week on 01625 536624 for a chat through some options. Depends on individual circumstances really.
