Default Sourcing Kitchens and Bathrooms for BTS

Hi All

after all my deals, i now have 2 where i am refurbing fully and selling on. With that in mind, i wanted to know where everyone sources cheap kitchens and toilets / bathrooms.

Is it B&Q all the way (I found Homebase expensive), or has anyone used Rock kitchens or any other good suppiers. Of course time is of the essence, but i also don't want to pay too much.

Tips / advice would be most welcome for kitchen designs by the way, i know that people look at the accessories like taps etc rather than anything else ... but other nuggets would be appreicated.

Thanks in advance.

Zahir

Default Howdens

Hi,

I personally use Howdens Joinery, they are based all over and are trade only suppliers. They come out plan and design it then give you quote and can normally deliver next day, or you can collect from local depot. I find there prices good and service second to none. Only downfall is the designers tend to over design the kitchen, you can just scale it down and drop out what yu feel is a bit too much. I tend to use birchwood and birkdale ranges. Always in stock.

There website is www.howdens.com - You will need to open an account with them to utilize there services. Terms 30days.

Hope this helps.

Derek

Zahir,

I use Magnet. There Trade range, like Howdens, are generally pretty good and you get 50 - 60% plus off everything. Additionally they often have special offers on items (recent example where some £160+VAT taps that I got for 45ish) They really helped finish a nice apartment.

You can get a trade account and have the cashflow benefit too

hi zahir
i use plumbbase for bathroom suites you can get a steel bath, close couple toilet and sink with waste, for about £215 brilliant for both bts or btl , kitchens you wont beat ikea on quality or price, but also find magnets or B&Q very reasonable.
for central heating try this website www.mrcentralheating.com garuantee you wont be disapointed these also do bathroom suites for £200.
use grahams plumbing supplies for copper fittings, copper tube these are the cheapest at the moment.
also visit direct stock clearance they have a warehouse not far from us they sell kitchen appliances ,fireplaces, sinks just about everything for kitchen and bathroom refurbs .
they have a shop on ebay.

Yeah, Howdens is great for kitchens as is B&Q in my opinion.

For bathrooms you may want to have a look at this link: www.betterbathrooms.com. This is where I source all my bathrooms and recently bought a Helena suite for one of my properties, consisting of a toilet, basin, shower bath and chrome mixer taps for the basin and bath for £199. Excellent value and honestly as good quality as what you'll find in Homebase or B&Q.

Ian - that 'Mr Central Heating' website is very useful - thanks very much!

Also Wickes have some very good prices for takeaway bathrooms. I've just bought my first one, so I'll see what the quality is like after my plumber has installed it.
