Use Elance to put out tenders for work.

However, you need a proposal to put forward.

How are you going to attract tenants?

SEO, pay per click, gumtree, local ads?

Can anyone help with the correct posting of an add on Rentacoder.

I am trying to increase the number of qualified buyers (ie they have completed my online form) I have access to.

So if I wanted to generate 100 leads, how do I reflect this on the job posting?

I posted an advert and people are asking how much my budget is, which has confused me a litte as I thought I would be paying a fixed price.

Apologies If I have confused you, as I have confused myself!

Thanks

Jon

Hi Jon,

RAC prefer you to post up jobs that have a fixed price. By saying you want leads generated your ad would attract people who want to work with you on an ongoing budget, say a monthly contract. Say in your ad that you want 100 leads and you'll pay say $100 for the job. If you find someone who is good at it you can then put them on some sort of monthly arrangement.

Hi Deep. Thanks for the links. Do you know if its possible to download these? (I tried right click-> save but this didn't do the trick)

If I can download it would be great as spending a fair amount of time on trains travelling so will be nice to have the audio/video to see and listen to. Thanks

Hi Sheeda,

The last one, the audio, works fine. All the rest are videos and only stream online at the moment. Will see if we have the audios from these

Hi Deep,

Here is a reply I received? He is talking about setting a campaign up??

Yes,I can help but for leads to be generated via Google AdWords you will have to pay for setting up the campaign
(me) and each click that will be made in the campaign(google)

Apologies to go on. Any chance of a seeing a copy of how you post your ads, might be useful for others as well. Especially us ones who are bit slow on the uptake!

Hi Jon,

Which ads - Google or Rentacoder? If it's Google, it's quite intricate and to understand what I mean by that you need to get the book from Perry Marshall's Google AdWords Advertising & Pay Per Click Program.

He'll teach you to think about the kind of leads you are looking to generate and designing your campaigns around that. Also the site design has to fit with what the ads say, the pages on the site need to be optimised for the keywords you are bidding on and so on. The book explains it all

It always makes me wince a little when people talk about rentacoder / outsourcing stuff as in my experience it's not as easy and straightforward as it's sold.

It's certainly not a magic bullet or an easy way to get leads. I honestly think you need to have a solid grasp of what you want done before you outsource it, or if you don't know what you're doing you need to be prepared to pay well to get somebody who does. Ignorance + Cheap Outsourcers = wasted time and money unless you're very lucky.

Deep's audio is good, if you haven't already give it a listen.

I have found a very good ebook on outsourcing - it's very practical and down to earth. It's especially suited to VA type outsourcing but the principles still apply to outsourcing projects.

Sourcecontrol: An outsourcing framework for the dangerously ambitious.

This is an affiliate link but I'd recommend it anyway, even if I didn't make a commission. If you do buy through my link please drop me a PM so I can thank you and see if there's anything I can do to help in return.

Have a good weekend everyone!
