Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Co (KHC) has said the company's Jeddah-based project to build the tallest tower in the world has received the final licence by the city's mayoralty, Arab News has reported. The SR4.6bn Kingdom Tower, which will stand over 1,000 meters tall, is the centrepiece and the first construction phase of Kingdom City, Jeddah Economic Co's (JEC) new urban development covering more than 5.3 million square meters of land in the north of Jeddah overlooking the Red Sea and Obhur Creek.
