Can I say first of all how great it is to be welcomed into such a supportive and positive leaning environment. Im quite new to forums, and new to property investing, although I have learnt loads over the last few months. Im really hoping to make friends in the business and glean an investors mindset, as well as get some help with investment strategies.

My background is varied- I have been making a living as a solid surface fabricator and fitter, working mainly in London for private residential customers, constructing and fitting wet-rooms, bespoke shower areas and kitchen worktops, as well as some one-off sculptures for an art gallery. I enjoy the work, but have recently realised (thanks to R.Kiyosaki- Rich dad poor dad) the only way to financial freedom is to aquire income- producing assets (or inherit a fortune!)

So investing in property will be a great challenge, and also allow me to continue to utilise my trade skills in managing and taking part in renovation projects.

I am based in Maidenhead (home of the famous Berkshire property meet!) but I am very interested in starting my portfolio in Cardiff, JVing with a friend. We would like to purchase at a reasonable discount (at least 25% BMV). We are gearing up to do our own marketing, although if anyone knows any good finders in the area I would be extremely grateful
