I went to the Money Centre seminar in Somerset this week, where I met Deep. An impressive guy. Interesting ideas, which I shall follow up later.
I have been building a portfolio of high yield terraced houses in Middlesbrough, where I have an excellent firm of managing agents. From the outset these have had the potential to be cashflow positive (which when one earns as little as I do as a part-time college lecturer is essential) and now, with competent management, they are performing as they should. Growth over the last 3 years has been stunning, which now leaves me in a position to refinance a couple of these generators and use the funds to start a portfolio nearer home here in the South West.
I shall be 50 next week. My late father retired at the age of 54, and I hope to match his example by building a suitable sized portfolio to keep me in the manner to which I would like to become accustomed over the next four years, in the hands of good managers so that I can follow my dreams of sailing, skiing and enjoying life.
With that in mind, I am interested in
BMV leads, primarily in Bristol or Middlesbrough, but also perhaps in Plymouth or Exeter . I will be happy to pay what appears to be the customary fee here of 1% for any which convert into purchases.
It's been a hard road getting to where I am now, and this is just the beginning. What I have learned along the way is that one never stops learning, so I shall be very pleased to take any advice that is given. Buying
BMV is a new area for me but I shall naturally try to contribute wherever I can if I feel that I have some useful experience.
