New Recruit from Northampton

Hello Folks,

I am really looking forward to reading / contributing / learning and having the occasional odd giggle on this forum. It has been highly recommended by some fellow investor colleagues.

I am from Northampton (originally from Telford) and have been doing the BMV thing since March 06. I had a good run and a bit of luck and managed to quit my Telecoms Manager role on August 10th 2006.

I am always looking to learn / share with other like minded property individuals and look forward to making friends.

Always open to offers but not 25% bmv rental. 15% is ok out of season.
Sleeps up to 10 people. Ideal for two families or large groups.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Briefly;
I started BMV advertising in March and managed to generate a few calls from motivated sellers. After having a face-to-face with 6 sellers I was lucky enough to secure 4 deals >20% BMV. This coupled with a slightly risky attitude, I resigned basically. So far, so good but I am remaining cautious and prudent. Worse case I can always go and find another job.

My persepective is that the system has worked for me presently and it can work for anyone who has persistence, motivation, rapport building skills and the ability to deal with distressed sellers.
