Hello

I am a consulting civil/structural engineer and do GSI's/SSI's for clients looking to buy/sell properties and also do small works calculations to property owners. Since Nov 2005, I have accumulated 4no. buy to let properties with tenants in since Febrauary 2006. I am buying another one now and also two 'off plans' are nearly complete. I have just put in a sealed bid for another property to renovate and sell on. And finally I run a martial arts club. As you can see I am pretty busy.

I am looking to increase my portfolio and need some financial advice on how to use other people's money to fund my purchases. I would also want to chat to like-minded folks as you are and lighten up a bit, have some fun and maybe help some of your members with any structural issues.

Welcome to the forum. I'm just up the road from you in Lambs Green, near Rusper. There's a great networking event in Woking you might be interested in (www.ukpwne.co.uk) and I believe there's also a PNC meeting in Brighton, which I haven't been to yet.

Feel free to give me a call if I can be of any help with your questions about using OPM to buy properties (or any other subject for that matter :D ).

Thanks. Yes let's get together for a brief chat some time. I get confused by some of the abbreviations. What is PMM, OPM and PNC for example? Every industry has its abbreviatons. I thought the oil/gas industry was worse when I used to work offshore as a subsea engineer years ago. I might join the UKPWNE as well then.
