| | Hello Peeps! I'm Jean (but I prefer 'jp'); I'm 55, with 2 kids and a new grandson; I'm nearly divorced. For about 20 years I've wanted to invest in property and, now the restraints are off, I'm going to do it, so stand out of the way please! The reason? I did once argue that I wanted to leave a pile for the kids, but they tell me that they'll manage ok without me (huh?) so now I have to admit that I just fancy the idea of being rich. But actually, there's an even better reason: I like people, I like networking, I like helping, and I like being busy (ok - 4 reasons).
I wrote to Deep a couple of weeks back and offered my help; I guess he's been a bit busy, and may have enough helpers already, but I won one of the three places at lunch with him at the forthcoming workshop, so I'll ask him again then. I'm looking forward to the gig, both to see how many faces I can remember, and to stuff my book with notes and hot tips.
What else? Oh, yeah, I'm a contractor (software change, configuration and release management and a bit of project management) and I'm having a short break from work between engagements. Guess what? It's GREAT - why didn't I do it before? Now I can do what I want every day, like learn about this business, which is an even bigger spur to be successful so that I can retire properly and do what I want forever. (Let's be realistic though - I'll propbably want to carry on doing this, especially as it should be work-that's-not-work.)
I live in Bournemouth with my daughter and my son lives in London. He and I intend to generate a good joint income stream from property and we're hoping that my daughter will join us later.
I very much look forward to meeting many of you - possibly at the forthcoming workshop.

| | Well, that was quick! Thank you for the welcome! (Judging by the number of posts, you must be online a lot.) Where are you from, and where's NR16?
And now I see how people use their salutations/signatures, I guess I'd better think up something to say. . .

| | Good to meet you both, and I hope to see you in Heathrow.
I see that you greet all newcomers (so you must have been exceptionally busy these last few weeks!) and I also see that you have a sponsored link to Christopher Howard's events - for which a big "Thank You" - I've signed up for the September seminar!
Daft question, perhaps, but is there really enough business to go around, what with nearly 1500 people in this forum alone?

| | Hi Jack - I spotted the face immediately.
I've been out of circulation entirely for about 3 months but am now gearing up to go for it. LOTS to read in this forum - some of it "worrying" (saturation, band-wagon, etc.), much of it fascinating. I'm looking forward to getting in there and mixing it, as I know I can make money out of this business. As several others have said, action comes first, and then, as Robert said today, there are no prizes for second place.
See you sometime Jack. Have you done any deals yet?

| | Yes Deep - it will be good to meet you!
When will you publish details of the event? I'm anxious to find out the start and finish times at least, as my son has a ticket and has to make his travel arrangements around other activities (it's his birthday!). | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
