Default Let me introduce myself

Hi everyone, my name is Justin Hyne and I am 31 years old and live in Southgate, London. I'm just getting started in the property business (currently have no properties at all!) and am still researching the best ways of doing it. I'm also trying to balance procrastination with jumping in too fast.

I run my own Home Cinema business and have done for 4 years now. Over my total years in the industry I have worked with many different developers, investors and various trades but all in the context of the industry I'm still in (residential custom electronic entertainment and lifestyle 'CEEL' systems) I am now looking to use these small contacts to start my property business. I am very willing to take risks and move on my instincts but my only concern at present is I'm not sure if I will have adequate time to invest in the property side as naturally my Cinema business takes up a huge amount already; I think if I was still in a 9 to 5 I would be trying to buy 1 a week

I went along to Deeps seminar today on NMD and found it extremely well organised and useful. I have already spoken to a few other property developers there who have been very forthcoming and helpful in my starting position which I thank them for incredibly.

I look forward to using this forum to its maximum and helping others where I can. I do have a small group of building tradesman that I have worked with in the past who I can highly recommend.

I look forward to catching up with you all more and seeing you face to face at the up and coming events.

Best Wishes

Justin Hyne

There's also an East London Property meeting in Stratford tomorrow, which isn't that far from Southgate (i used to live in East London...know London well!!) if you want to go along and chat to like minded people.

Have a look at this link for the details:

Hi Sylvia, thanks for the reply. I am really interested in getting along to lots of property meetings but I have such a busy schedule already that fitting things in is going to be my problem :( Monday night is about my only real free evening but sometimes Friday and Saturday evenings i'm just chilling I don't suppose you know of any meet ups on a Monday night?

Thanks again for the warm welcome and I will certainly be enganging myself in as much info from this place as possible!

Best Wishes,

Justin

Hi Deep, it was good to meet you too on Saturday, I got so much out of the day and more than I think I even realise now. I'd be happy to help if you need any info or advice on Home Cinema stuff or anything relating to any of the other fields I cover, just let me know. This forum has already got me very excited about the future!

I concur in all of the above!
Look forward to meeting you sometime Justin. And always handy to know decent tradesmen, which is something I'm slowly working on (as I happen to be having some work done at home right now...)

Hi JP,

Thanks for the comments!

I have worked with some real bad tradesman over the years and it is so hard to find and keep in contact with the good ones. As with all trades though, you need to experience them yourself before you can be convinced they are as good as someone recommends they are! Just let me know the type of tradesman you may need and I can put a name forward to you if you like. One of the main guys I have worked alongside is multi-skilled in most building works (and also knows good plumbers and electricians that he has worked with) and can do everything from building foundation works right up to finishing works such as custom graphic painting and guilding, he's also worked on many listed buildings and is a qualified project manager; in fact he is probably the guy who will build my dream home one day! He's not particulary expensive and knows how to take his shoes off in peoples homes!

I look forward to catching up with you face to face sometime too.

Best Wishes,

J
