Hi everyone. My name is John Cunningham and I am based in Swansea & Llanelli in South Wales. I am on free trial but I can already see that I will be a member soon.
Always been interested in the BMV thing. but has always been shrouded with mystery until now. I am your your traditional developer and landlord that aches a bit more than I should for a guy of my years due to too much building work and too many bacon sandwiches.
I have bought and sold and bought to rent for about 10 or so years. With regard to BMV I will try to dip my toe as quick as I can and all going well will look forward to a new chapter in my career where for once I don't put any money in!! Sounds like paradise.
My background is in Engineering. Since starting work I have been a structural engineer, bridge engineer, engineering consultant, R&D and designed bits for cars. I left full time work two years ago and now buy and renovate property and I am also an NICEIC electrical contractor. Bit of a change in career but the hours are better and I meet more people. Took me 12 years to find out I wasn't an office person after all!
I am initially looking to fill out my portfolio in the south wales area but who knows where else it will lead. I am sure it will be great to talk, meet and work with everyone on the forum.

Welcome to the forum, there's a few of us now in South Wales, Bristol & Rob Gorle from Ross on Wye, i was speaking with Rhys Jones a couple of day's ago about getting together sometime, with all the members in South Wales & surrounding areas & generally exchanging some ideas, he suggested possibly the Newport area

Oh & one more thing if you have contacts with builders or can project manage then contact Rob he is looking for someone in South Wales

I've just been reading a coiuple of posts that you've put onto the forum.
All good stuff and great advice. Obviously loads of general building experience and knowledge even if the aches and pains get you in the mornings!
You're not that far from me and it is always good to meet up with colleagues that are near by. Rhys and I have met up on a number of occasions and there is a monthly get together in Swindon if you are interested in broadening your catchment area. How about getting a few together on your side of the river sometime, may be with Tan and others?
