Hi there,

My name is Jonathan. Moved to Cardiff from London and looking to build a portfolio in South Wales to start with. I've got 4 properties in the valleys which I bought mainly with credit cards and I'm looking to do BMV deals now.

I've got a couple of them going thru at the moment, also looking at buying an HMO - with trepidation... as it would use up all my working capital. Any thoughts on this, HMO owners?

I am also starting my leafletting campaign this month.

Would be interested in buying leads from the South Wales area.

Hi Jonathan, and welcome to the forum. I would have thought that anyone moving out of London could buy half of Wales with the price differential

Thanks for the welcome, guys.
Yeah, things sure are cheaper here. The thing is, i started off in property investing doing silly things like buying at full market value just because the developer spooked me by saying other people were making offers and it was going to be snapped up real quick!

Anyway, won't be doing that again. Say, can anyone tell me more about exchange options? I'm buying something that needs work (damp proofing and complete refurb) and I'd quite like to get started on the work before completion.
