Smile Myklee

Hi everyone, I just joined a couple of days ago after I was alerted about the site by a buy-to-let broker.

I have five properties thus far, most of them new builds that I managed to pick up Below Market Value. I'm interested in buying some more in London and the south east, but I'm finding it extremely difficult to source them. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.
Also, as I said, I tend to buy new builds. What is the general perception of this type of property? Worth it, or not?
Feels great to be here.

Hi Myklee
Welcome to the forum. Not many folks on here like new builds. They flow cash negative, so are not scalable. Eventually, you run out of money. Having said that, I bought six of them last year, for low money down, and I'm keeping them. It's really better to buy older property with high rental yield, I guess, but I've not yet managed to buy any below 10% BMV

Thanks for that. At the end of the day, I guess, I'm looking to make money so I need to be flexible. To be honest, I would never have known that you can buy older properties BMV had I not hooked up to this site. The new build market is hard right now because developers are simply overpricing everything and then claiming to give a discount. More often than not, the 'discounted' price represents the real value of the property. At least my eyes have been opened to new possibilities. Thank you.

Hi Myklee,

Welcome to the forum

New builds are ok, but difficult to make them stack... so have returned to good old, old properties.
