Hello All,
Just joined this friendly-looking forum a few days ago. It certainly looks a useful place to share experiences and I look forward to playing my part in that.
My hope is to add some BMV properties to the two existing in my buy-to-let portfolio - probably in Scotland, broad Central Belt for preference but not necessarily, including Edinburgh/Glasgow. My big priority is to assemble a team so that I can move fast when the right property comes along - I note from previous posts that deals have sometimes been lost because this arrangement was not in place.

Hi David and welcome.
Correct on all accounts.
Feel free to give me a call and I will be happy to explain BMV finance options with you, they reason for getting experienced solicitors on board and the importance of being able to move quickly with regards to getting valuations instructed and cases offered.
But before you do all of that, spend time looking through this forum as there is a huge amount of experience available on tap.

Thanks a lot, Pete, for your reply! I've looked at various people on this forum offering ready-made teams - but they all seem to imply solicitors trained in ENGLISH law, whereas I need those qualified in SCOTTISH law! I'll get in touch with some and query this point.
