Hi All,

I find myself back in the UK following a 7 year stint in Hong Kong, working in the investment business.

Had a great time, but the idea of being in the employed workforce in the UK fills me with horror. I need to get involved with something that encourages freedom and entrepreneurial spirit, so property excites me, and I have seen people build huge portfolio's already whilst in HKG.

As a part-time FX currency trader, I want to develop my own property portfolio to compliment my other wealth building strategy.

Looking forward to 'sucking the marrow' out of all of your brains via this forum.

Tips on getting started would be great..!!

Hi Jason,
Welcome to the forum. My tip is to spend hours and hours reading past posts on this forum, to get you in the mood to start your own property empire. Learn from our mistakes instead of making your own. It's much cheaper and faster.

You may also want to network here with some of your own work colleagues. I came here 8 years ago after a 11 year stint abroad. This country is the most expensive on earth for contracting consultants, so if you have specific skills, get into contracting in London.
