My name is Rich. I have been researching buying property since February this year. My wife and I have been saying for about 5 years now that we are going to buy an investment property. Looking back we wish we had bought 5 years ago! Oh well, we've started now and we intend to buy a few more.

It all started earlier this year when I bought a book "Money for Nothing and Your Property for Free" by Andy Shaw. What a revelation! I read it from cover to cover in about 3 days and haven't looked back since. I have then been on 3 seminars and a property course to further my property education. All in all I have just immersed myself in property investment over the last few months.

We completed on our first property 4 weeks ago and have just finished the refurb. We should get the reval any day now and make a nice healthy profit. We have offers in on 4 other props and are waiting for a reply.

I heard about this site back in April at a Moneycentre seminar and have been meaning to join. However I am a member of another prop site and have been getting myself established on there, along with all the other stuff that has been going on. Anyway, today was the day I managed to sign up and now I'm looking forward to finding my way around and meeting new people.

Just a bit more info about myself - my wifes name is Julie we have a 3 children Jade 14, Matt 12 & Jamie 6. We run Vincent Commercial Cleaning, a successful cleaning business based in Lincolnshire since 1995.

welcome to the forum, your story is so very similar to my own, I am just hoping that we can eventually build a successful business of the property for myself and my partner and our Son.
I bet you have property mags and stuff on your beside table just like me, I read this stuff every day.
I too read Andy Shaw's book, but I found that the detail was not as specific as it claimed, however it did galvanise my thought patterns into getting started.
I wish you every success, and hope you can make a secure future for your kids too.
Breaking the Mortgage millstone for our son has long been an ambition of mine.
