Hi,

My name is Fraser Macdonald. I have been a landlord in NW England for the last 11 years. A lot has changed since then but there are still deals and profits to be made. Thanks to Satnam and Bobby who have been raving about this site and have convinced me to join!

I run a company called Property Fit (www.property-fit.com). We specialise in sourcing terraced houses in the NW and NE of England. We have sourced 300 houses for clients since 2004. We operate an 'armchair investor service' - we basically do everything for our clients except anything financial. We find property, negotiate the price, manage the whole process, manage repairs and most importantly make sure they are let (although we are not letting agents).

There are 7 of us at Property Fit. Five of us are on the road finding deals and we have two administrators in the office. Our offices are in Farnworth in Bolton - please feel free to pop in to see us (address on website).

We have just launched two new schemes:

1) NE Terraced Houses - 15% BMV (genuine), with all repairs undertaken in good lettings areas. We are the exclusive outlet for a large repossession intervention company based in Sunderland. Full presentation available on request.

2) Rochester/NY State - one of our team visits Rochester for 3 weeks every 3 months. We are buying houses in good lettings areas (avoid Buffalo at all costs!) at approx $50,000. With rents of $700 the returns are good. Rochester is the 5th highest forecast growth area in the USA. It's only 3.7% but it's not going backwards - it's a great time to buy. I also host the NW Property Network (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8697361395) . We meet on every second Monday at 7pm in Prestwich. We have a private side meeting room and the meeting is free and is open to anyone who has an interest in property investment. We usually have a guest speaker and then have informal chat afterwards - the food (especially the Cumberland Ring) and beer is great! The address is:

11th Feb (speaker is Simon Lanaghan from Warmfront - free energy improvement grants for landlords)
10th March
2nd April - this is a special Northern Network meeting at Huddersfield. Networks from Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Huddersfield and Liverpool are all coming together for a big get together. Bobby Gill, Satnam Punglia, Mike Entwistle and I are arranging. Bobby will send out more details.

8th Dec
