I have just joined the forum and am looking forward to meeting like minded enthusiastic people who I can learn from and find encouragement while sharing ideas.
We have one BTL flat that we have run for a long time, but I became aware of BMV opportunties about 6 months ago - I have been researching this and would like to start building a portfolio in the next few months.
In addition, we have just come across a development project in Cumbria, which is just what I have been dreaming of - an old run down hotel in an amazing location with planning permission for conversion to 8 small units which I'd love to run as a holiday business. It was on the market for 850K last summer, which we thought was over the top, but now the price has dropped to 450-500K, after 2 bids fell through, making it a more possible proposition. Just looking into possible finance options for that!
Looking forward to being part of this community. We live in the Swindon are at the moment, but hope to move up to Cumbria ( Carlisle area) soon, so that is where I would hope to build up a portfolio.
