Hi guys,
I'm not entirely new to the forum, but it's probably the first time you've seen my name...
I used to come on every now and then and have a browse as my business partner has an account which he didn't really find the time to use very much!
I do love this forum and I look forward to contributing in my own name now
As a short intro, my name is Arash Kabiri, and I own a letting agency in West London.
We manage and/or let properties mostly in/near Ealing.
How did I get into this?
Well, my aforementioned partner was one of many people I knew who never had a good word to say about agents
My own experience with them was pretty bad too - although thankfully they never lost me any money exactly (I didn't let it get to that stage!), it's just that their incompetence provided more comedic value than value for money.
So this all started with me helping out friends/family/colleagues (and myself) by letting/managing their property for them.
The feedback was great (from landlords AND tenants) and I must say I enjoyed hearing it, so it fueled my desire for more - hence my decision to actually set up a letting agency so others can enjoy the same great service (and so the ego's desire for praise can continue to be indulged

)
My experience with lettings started when I was 16 and had work experience at a local letting agency which is quite big in the area. (I'm 23 now, by the way).
Before the agency I worked in property as an investor mostly, which has helped me in the lettings business because I found that a lot of Landlords like the fact that, as a Landlord myself, I know what it is they're looking for when it comes to letting/managing their property!
So following in that vein, I decided that anyone who joins the team must own buy-to-let property themselves.
My partner's company are building contractors and at the mo his latest project aside from that is actively investing in London with
JV partners.
The usual - buy low, refurb, sell and share the profits.
So that's me and what I do, if I (or my partner) can help you in any way please feel free to get in touch!
